About Sillie Sammy
Sillie Sammy is a young black Labrador Retriever mix who’s already lived through a lot, surviving parvo as a puppy after being seized by animal control with his litter. Thanks to good veterinary care, he pulled through and moved into a foster home where he picked up crate and house training. He did get adopted, but after five months his family couldn’t keep him due to job changes, so he’s back at the rescue now and looking for a forever fit. He’s neutered, up to date on his shots, receives heartworm prevention, and is microchipped. Sammy is smart and eager, still very much a puppy figuring out life. Leash trained and a big fan of toys, he especially adores playing ball. He’s spent time in a lifejacket and had some boating adventures, too. Sammy’s got classic Lab energy and will thrive with a big backyard. His foster notes he does have some separation anxiety and needs stability. He gets along well with other dogs and children but isn’t a fan of cats—he’ll chase them, a habit picked up after an unpleasant encounter. Sillie Sammy is in Biloxi, MS and waiting for the right home that can keep up with his fun-loving, energetic nature. Start your journey together! Apply now.
