PLEASE READ FULLY BEFORE INQUIRING – WE RESPOND FIRST TO THOSE WHO PUT IN AN ADOPTION APPLICATION CALVIN IS CURRENTLY FOSTERED NEAR CEDAR RAPIDS, IOWA. Calvin (and his brother Frankie) were dumped on an older gentleman’s property in Oklahoma. After a recent fall and Parkinson’s diagnosis, he was unable to care for them and reached out for help. Thankfully, we were able to step in, find fosters, and give Calvin the chance at a better life. Calvin is a loving, friendly, and playful puppy who enjoys meeting new people, giving kisses, and playing with toys. He has a great personality—happy to be chill and relax when nothing is going on, but turns into a fun, spunky boy the moment he gets attention. He is potty trained and crate trained and is doing well with routine. Calvin walks well on a leash and is learning his manners more each day. He already knows “sit” and is working on going into his kennel on command. He is very smart and eager to please, so he will continue to pick up on training quickly. Around other dogs, he does best with structure during mealtime as he prefers his own space while eating, but otherwise enjoys canine companionship. Adoption Information: All puppies have typical energy levels and require a dedicated adopter who is willing to invest time and effort into training. While we strive to start the potty-training process, please keep in mind that puppies this age are not guaranteed to be fully house trained. This is an excellent age to introduce him to children and other animals, as early socialization is key to his development! Calvin will be adopted under a neuter contract, with an adoption fee of $450. $100 of this fee will be reimbursed upon proof of neuter. He is up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccinations, on monthly preventative, dewormed, and microchipped.
