Lucky is a 2-year-old, 13 lb bundle of love with the cutest face and the most unique long legs—perfect for showing off his impressive jumping skills! Whether he’s sneaking a taste of cat food or leaping right into your arms for kisses and cuddles, this little guy knows how to keep life fun and full of affection. Lucky is incredibly sweet and very affectionate—he truly thrives on love and attention. While his exact breed is a bit of a mystery (we’re guessing maybe a Maltipoo, Bichon mix… or a little bit of both!), one thing is certain: his coat will require regular grooming to keep him looking and feeling his best. When Lucky first came to us, he was severely matted and had to be completely shaved down—hence his current “shaved little rat” look—but we promise, his fluff (and glow-up!) is on the way! He loves his walks and would make a great companion for someone who enjoys getting outside. Lucky is fully vetted—he is up to date on vaccines, microchipped, dewormed, neutered, and has tested negative for heartworm and Lyme disease. Since being neutered, Lucky has already shown improvement with marking behaviors, and we expect this to continue as his hormone levels settle. He is currently on a routine of about four walks a day, which has been helping him tremendously. Like many dogs neutered later in life, he will need a family committed to consistency and continued potty training—but we’ve seen great success with similar pups who just needed structure and patience. Lucky is kid, cat, and dog friendly of all sizes and ages. He gets along well with other dogs, both big and small, and would do best with a male companion as he has shown a tendency to mount females—something that should continue to improve over time post-neuter. Lucky was surrendered by his previous family simply because they didn’t have the time he deserved—he was being left alone for up to 12 hours a day. Now, he’s ready for a fresh start with a family who can give him the love, time, and guidance he’s been missing.
