About Marmaduke
Marmaduke is a 3-year-old Great Pyrenees and Labrador Retriever mix who tips the scales at 110 pounds—big in size and warmth. He's the kind of dog who brings a gentle, soulful energy wherever he goes. People are drawn to his easygoing, affectionate nature and the genuine smile he always wears. Marmaduke is happiest sprawled out on a couch or soaking up belly rubs from anyone willing to offer them. He thrives on human company, loves giving kisses, and forms quick bonds with those around him. Having lived peacefully with dogs of all sizes in the countryside, Marmaduke is truly dog friendly. He's also fully house trained, knows how to use a doggie door, and is crate trained overnight, though he’d much rather have a spot on the sofa. He walks well on a leash and doesn’t pull—a small miracle for a dog his size. While he hasn’t lived with small children, his gentle style suggests he’d likely do fine with respectful introductions. Marmaduke isn’t a fan of long travels or being crated for trips, but he settles in well at home. One thing to note: Marmaduke has a list of food allergies, but the testing and answers are in, and he’ll come home with everything you need to keep him healthy. He arrived at the shelter after losing his previous owner and is hoping for another person or family to welcome him. If what you want is a loyal, sweet companion with a heart as big as his frame, Marmaduke is ready for his next chapter. They are waiting with paws crossed! Apply now!
