About Gladys
Gladys is a sturdy, brown American Bulldog mix who’s settled into foster life in Savannah, GA over the past year. She’s around 3 years old and started out with no house manners to speak of, but she’s made meaningful progress—the housebreaking is solid, and she listens to basic commands when the mood strikes. Gladys isn’t exactly eager about crate time; she’ll eat her meals in the crate but isn’t too enthusiastic otherwise. She’s not your accelerated learner, but with patience, she’s figured out sit and down and will sometimes comply if you keep things light. At home she’s low-key: napping on the couch, catching rays in the backyard, always up for cuddling and never shy about trying to fit in your lap. Gladys can get quite attached fast and will want to snuggle within hours. Outside, she used to be reactive on walks—barking at every critter on the route—but after working with a trainer, she’s improved a lot. She still pulls a bit, but you can now walk her past other animals with minimal drama. Gladys could likely live with another dog if it’s calm and social and could set a good example, but she’s made it clear she does not like cats and that won’t change. Ready to fall in love?
