Davey is in Georgia right now, but can get a ride to New Jersey if you’re approved to adopt him. He lived a rough life as a stray: when rescuers found him, he was underweight, covered in fleas and ticks, fighting heartworms, and had a bullet tear through his ear instead of hitting worse. A year of care put him back on his feet, and now he’s heartworm free—he just carries a notch in his ear as a reminder. Despite all that, Davey’s never lost his friendly streak. He’s happiest with people, loves showing off his basic commands, and will give you his paw on command. He’s crate trained and has picked up some house training, too. Davey does get along with some dogs but isn’t always easy with bigger ones; best to plan he’s your only dog until you learn more. He shouldn’t live with cats.
