About Bumper
Bumper is a survivor. In late 2023, he was hit by a car and left on the side of the road, severely injured and emaciated. At first, nobody thought he’d make it through the night, but each day he proved everyone wrong. After recovering from his injuries and concussion, and going through heartworm treatment and neutering, Bumper’s spirit never dimmed. He’s always smiling and eager to play, showing endless gratitude and friendliness to the staff. He’s up-to-date on all his vaccinations and health preventatives. Bumper is strong—probably stronger than he realizes—and though he enjoys his leash walks, he still pulls a bit, so some patience and continued training will help. He’ll need further house training, too. He can be slightly overweight at times but with regular play, he’ll get back in shape. He loves being both inside and outdoors, so a home with space for a large, playful dog is a must. Because of his strength, Bumper would do best in a home with responsible children rather than small kids he might accidentally knock over. He gets along well with other dogs and enjoys their company. Ready to welcome a big, loving personality into your life? Bumper is waiting in Tarrytown, GA and can be transported to New Jersey if you’re ready for the commitment. Your new best friend is just one click away.
