MARL ARRIVAL: Stray BACKGROUND: Kaia is a sweet girl who may be a little nervous at first, but give her just a little time and she quickly blossoms into a loving, affectionate companion. Once she feels comfortable, her personality really shines, she’s playful, enjoys attention, and absolutely loves being around people. One of her cutest habits is gently pawing at you when she wants more pets, making it hard to resist giving her all the love she’s asking for. As she’s settled in, we’ve seen her become more social and outgoing, and we expect that confidence to continue growing in a home of her own. Kaia is a truly gentle, loving dog who just needs a little patience at first, and in return, she’ll be a loyal, affectionate best friend. COMPATIBILITY: Based on our evaluation, we feel that Kaia has the potential to get along with other dogs. Kaia would do best in a home without cats and with children over the age of 8. MEDICAL NEEDS: Kaia has tested positive for heartworm and is currently undergoing treatment, a condition we commonly and successfully treat. It is not contagious to people or other pets. MARL covers all treatment, which includes medication and injections scheduled through our veterinary team. During this time, she would stay with you in a foster-to-adopt arrangement, and once treatment is complete, the adoption can be finalized. ADOPTION FEE: $250
