About Freya
Freya is a two-year-old, 70-pound mix of Shepherd, Labrador, and Australian Cattle Dog with a wide goofy streak and a deep love for people. She can be found wagging her tail through the house, always ready for games of fetch, cuddles, or just sprawling across the bed for a nap. She knows her basic commands and a few clever ones as well, like bringing toys closer or taking a break from play. Her crate is her place of comfort, and she’s fully crate trained, content to stay there during work hours and overnight. Freya has had a tough time sharing space with other pets and must be the only animal in her future home—she isn’t compatible with dogs or cats. She's gentle and sweet with people, but homes without small children are preferable due to her size and youthful energy. A securely fenced yard (tall wooden fencing only) is a must, because she can clear a short fence without much effort. Freya enjoys her walks, but does best on off-hours to avoid dog encounters. She also loves cooling off in her kiddie pool during summer. Currently, she's on daily anti-anxiety medication but takes it easily with food in a soft pill pocket. Her crate can come with her if her new family needs one. Freya is spayed, up to date on vaccinations and preventatives, and heartworm negative. Her family is heartbroken to let her go, but she’ll thrive where she can have all the love to herself. What are you waiting for? Apply today!

Questions about Freya
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
Freya's Shepherd/Labrador/Cattle Dog mix roots make her a great fit for an active home with space to play and explore, ideally with a securely fenced yard. Her energy and affection suit a household where she can be the only pet.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
Dogs like Freya, with Shepherd and Cattle Dog heritage, appreciate a yard to run or a fenced area to play fetch. Regular outdoor time keeps her happy and calm, especially when shared with her favorite people.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
Freya is good with children, though her size and enthusiasm are better matched with older kids who can keep up. She may be too much for small children just due to her weight and playful energy.
