About Daisy
Daisy lost her home after her owner sustained a serious injury, but she hasn’t lost her spark. At eight years old and around 35–40 lbs, Daisy is a solid, classic lemon beagle with an unmistakably soft coat. She’s been living in a foster home in Newark, Delaware, where she has charmed everyone. Daisy is gentle and incredibly adaptable—she can slot into both family settings and quieter lives. She plays with the energy of a dog half her age and has a real affection for toys, people, and other pets. If she knows you, she’ll trade soft kisses and soak up hugs. She’s house-trained, obedient, and reliably signals when she needs to go out. Daisy enjoys walks, manages well on a leash with a harness, and does perimeter patrols in the yard (no squirrels get by her). She isn’t a noisy barker but can deliver a deep bark if someone’s at the door. She eats well—maybe a bit too well if food is left unattended—but isn’t food aggressive around other dogs. She gets along with other dogs, cats, and children, and has shown herself to be a steady, loving presence. Daisy will be available after her spay surgery and will come fully vaccinated, microchipped, and tested for heartworm and tick-borne diseases. Click apply to start the adoption process.
