Zelda Age / Size: 2 years old, 14lbs Rescued in Texas Foster Note Zelda is one of the most loving dogs i have ever met - she looks at me with so much affection and clearly thrives when she’s being acknowledged and cuddled. She truly is a perfect fit for being a best friend for life, since her heart is so filled with love. She’s quite chill - I took her to breakfast and she was happy sitting on my lap, observing and people watching. She loves to climb up on my chest and rest her head on my shoulder, which is the most adorable thing i have ever seen. She cuddles with me at night, and wants to be as close as possible. She just wants to love and be loved. Very good! she’s observant, still adjusting to new place however but with gentle encouragement and love she is adapting quickly. She finds city noises a bit overwhelming so may prefer a more quiet neighborhood. Social & Home Life How are they with people (adults/kids/new people)? She loves people, she’s very social! She immediately jumped onto my bed and started cuddling, during walks she doesn’t mind other people if anything she stops to say hello! She follows me at home (although I think it’s a stress response after her big trip north rather than a habit, since she’s getting more and more independent), watches me cooking etc. She unwinds sometimes and naps on her own, especially evenings. but she prefers to be with me at all times at this moment. How are they with other dogs? Zelda acknowledges them sometimes during walks, but for now she is a bit too overwhelmed to play, however I believe that she wants to. She's not aggressive at all, doesn’t bark, only looks at them and then proceeds to walk. Cats or other animals (if known)? unknown Behavior when left alone or when guests visit: She’s happy unwinding once left alone, she will anticipate me a bit by the door, but after a short moment she returns to napping and chilling on the bed or her bed. Training & Manners Potty trained? yes Crate trained? unknown Leash skills: Prefers a harness over a collar. She's learning about city noises. Daily Life Typical day with you: for now short walks, around 4 or 5, and napping and cuddling in between. she is still visibly adapting and tired, so it will probably change in following days one she gets more comfortable Exercise needs: unknown Favorite activities or toys: definitely cuddling and kissing me!
