FOREVER HOME NEEDED Meet Max! Max is a 1-year-old, 10 lb Terrier mix who came to us as a stray from an overcrowded shelter. This sweet little guy is looking for a patient, loving home where he can feel safe to open up and be his goofy, spunky self! Max is incredibly sweet and just wants to be someone’s little best friend. He loves being close to his people, being held, and soaking up affection. He does great with other dogs and would enjoy having a canine companion around. He can be shy and a bit skittish at first, especially in new environments or with new people, so he’ll need a home that understands how to go slow and give him time to build trust. A quieter, more stable household will help him feel secure as he adjusts. Max came to us underweight and will need a home committed to helping him gain a few pounds and get to his healthiest, happiest self. Once Max feels comfortable, his personality really starts to come through—he becomes more confident, enjoys going on walks, and will happily stick right by your side. With time and encouragement, he’ll grow into that fun, adventurous little terrier he’s meant to be. Max would do best with adopters who have experience with shy dogs and are committed to helping him build confidence at his own pace. A calm, patient approach will go a long way with him.
