My home needs are: - Wayside recommends you bring your dog to meet me before adoption to ensure we can be buddies. Hi, I'm River, I was adopted from the shelter as a youngster but recently returned when my owner passed away. I was very confused being here. I had lived with adults but occasionally interacted with a toddler with adult supervision. I also lived with three smaller dogs and did well with all of them. I am friendly with strangers but do bark for attention at times. I am crate trained and house trained. As far as other dogs go, I just want to hang out. I am uncomfortable with invasive sniffing. I prefer to just exist with the other dogs and am a low energy, chill guy. I will make a nice friend for most groups of dogs that don’t pester me. I got to go to a foster home to help me settle into my new normal. They say I was let outside in a fenced yard to go to the bathroom. I normally went out, did my business and came right back in. They did not crate me. I was left free in the house with no issues. I slept on a dog bed by my foster's bed. I know sit. Can you teach me more? I like to do my version of cuddling. If you sit down, I would drape my body for loving. I like visitors. I greet them nicely and don't jump on them. My foster mom has a 5-year-old daughter. I let her pet me when seeking attention. She was comfortable with me around her. Since this is the only little one they know I have been around, it would be helpful if I meet children under 6. What do you think?
