About Moana
Moana’s story echoes her namesake—a journey that starts on rough ground and grows into something bold. She was found scared and tangled inside a thorny bush, completely alone and unsure of what would come next. The noise and bustle of the shelter frightened her, but life shifted for the better when she landed with Herding Haven. Each day in foster care, Moana’s courage has grown. She’s turned from shy and uncertain to truly playful—curious about everything, always up for exploring, and eager to share joy with people who make her feel safe. She adores other dogs and feels more confident in their company. Because of this, she’d do best in a home with another young, friendly dog. At six months old, Moana’s just about full-grown at a compact 20 pounds, short and stocky but never lacking in heart. Her short coat is a gentle mix of brown, black, and apricot. She’s crate trained, house-broken, spayed, and vaccinations are up to date. Moana’s learning the world doesn’t have to be scary, and she needs an adopter who will guide her patiently as she builds confidence. In return, she’ll offer boundless affection and a spark—proof that the smallest dogs often have the grandest adventures to share. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started.
