He was taken to the ER, treated for shock, received a blood transfusion and had to get his rear right leg amputated due to increased infection from a gunshot. The vet even removed a large caliber bullet from his chest that miraculously missed vital organs! Despite all that, his recovery went smoothly and he never lost his spirit and loving personality.
