Macy and Maurice were found living with their mother and siblings in the storage area of a large apartment complex in Frederick MD in January 2025. The little family managed to survive on handouts from kindly residents but the little kittens could not be caught. When the extreme cold weather arrived, the property manager contacted CKR for help and we were able to get them trapped, vetted and fostered. The mother, now spayed and healthy, was returned into the care of the property manager. We are now seeking forever homes for Macy & Maurice and their siblings, Mia & Macy. Because the kittens started their socialization a bit late in life and have been through so much together as a family unit, they are very attached to each other. For this reason, we hope to have them adopted in pairs. Macy is very affectionate grey tabby and quicker to warm up to new people than Maurice, the brown tabby, but both kittens are very outgoing and on track to be very well-socialized.
