About Sunnie Bean
Sunnie Bean is the definition of a joyful spirit, eager to light up someone’s daily life with his quirky, affectionate nature. He lives with Cerebellar Hypoplasia (CH), currently at a severe stage—he can’t stand or walk without tipping over, but Sunnie doesn’t let that hold him back from getting where he wants to go. He launches himself into laps, wiggles his way across rooms, and isn’t shy about announcing his presence. With ongoing home physical therapy, his muscle tone is gradually improving; it’s entirely possible he may eventually tackle new feats like climbing or standing. Sunnie reliably uses the litter box (with a little help) and eats heartily, though he still needs some assistance with both. When it's adventure time, Sunnie is ready—he loves riding in a cat backpack or sling, and adores being held so he can take in the world from a higher vantage point. He’s a regular in sweatshirt pockets designed for feline explorers. Back on the ground, Sunnie needs a safe, cushioned space to work on his signature acrobatic moves—his back legs can surprise everyone with how high they can spring. Daily enrichment is a must: toy rotation, novel experiences, and tasty exploration keep him happy and learning. Sunnie thrives with someone who spends a lot of time at home and enjoys including a cat companion in outings. He’s traveled far and wide with his foster family, napping contentedly in his backpack for car rides. His forever home should be deeply committed to his safety, with a setup that prioritizes soft landings and supervised play. Sunnie gets along with gentle cats and, after a careful introduction, he may settle in fine with a laid-back, dog-savvy dog willing to ignore his darting movements. He’s searching for a very special home—someone experienced and devoted, ready to invest time, attention, and love into his care. The trust and loyalty that Sunnie offers in return create a bond that’s something quite rare in the cat world, and it rewards in unexpected ways. Click apply to start the adoption process.
