About Oliver
Oliver is a fluffy Retriever/Great Pyrenees mix who’s looking for a quiet, patient home where he can settle in and feel safe. He’s about three years old and spends his days at a foster home in the DC area, getting used to the world and learning that new experiences aren’t so scary—especially with a confident dog friend nearby. Oliver’s shy at first, a bit skittish, but if he sees another dog try something, he’ll eventually muster the courage to follow. Every so often, he’ll offer a cautious cuddle before remembering his personal space, which always makes his foster laugh. He gets along well with other dogs and does best in a home that isn’t too high-energy or noisy; having another dog for company helps give him confidence. Oliver loves to explore on walks, enjoys meeting other pups, and will happily trade loyal companionship for a comfortable spot and a sense of belonging. He has finished up heartworm treatment and is ready for a new beginning with humans who’ll give him time and love. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
