Ralphie is a bright, brave, and very sweet boy with a confident spirit and a sharp mind. He’s the most outgoing of his siblings and often the first to investigate something new. Curious and observant, Ralphie is already showing signs of being a quick learner who will thrive with continued guidance and positive reinforcement. While he can be a little unsure about human touch at times, Ralphie clearly wants connection—he eagerly approaches for attention, offers affectionate hand licks, and enjoys being close, even as he continues learning that petting and handling are safe and rewarding. His foster is helping build that confidence, and he’s making progress every day. Ralphie also has a playful, take-charge personality and has shown some typical puppy resource behaviors around food and toys, likely stemming from early competition in the shelter. With structure, training, and consistency, these are very workable behaviors, and Ralphie has all the makings of a wonderful, engaged companion. He is doing great with crate training and has been quiet and settled overnight, already showing good habits. Ralphie has a fun mix of confidence, intelligence, and sweetness, and for someone willing to continue helping him grow, he is going to make a devoted and rewarding companion. Ralphie is a 4-month-old mixed breed who was rescued from a high-intake shelter. This dog's adoption fee is $800 and includes up-to-date vaccinations, microchip, and neuter. Ralphie is also tested with other dogs and children. He is not tested with cats, but we suspect he would do well with them. He is working on potty and kennel training in foster care. We would love for you to meet this dog and see if he might be a good fit for your home. The first step to adoption is completing an adoption application on our website at www.bounceanimalrescue.org. Pending approval, your application is valid for 1 year, and you will be eligible to request a hold on an individual animal for the Saturday adoption event. The hold does not require that you take the animal home, but ensures you get to meet and make an adoption decision prior to other applicants. Also pending approval, you will be able to acquire foster home contact information, so you inquire on personalities of specific animals. We do offer midweek private adoption appointments for approved applicants pending staff, foster home, and vetting schedules. Because we are 100% foster-based, private adoption appointments are only offered for individual animals. (If interested in viewing multiple animals at one time, we encourage you to attend our adoption events!) Please note, we do not have the ability to process adoption applications at our adoption events, so please plan accordingly. If an application is submitted past 5pm on Monday-Thursday, it will begin review the following day. If submitted on Friday-Sunday, it will begin review on Monday. It takes approximately 1-2 business days for an application to be processed. Our adoption events take place every Saturday from 10am-Noon at Pet Supplies Plus (Front Range Village, 2912 Council Tree Ave #100, Fort Collins, 80525).
