Meet Zion! Zion is a big-hearted, 85+ lb cuddle enthusiast who’s convinced he’s a lap dog—and honestly, he pulls it off. He’s incredibly smart, deeply loyal, and happiest when he’s close to his person. Zion would do best as the only dog in the home. He can be a little unsure in new situations and has some lingering anxiety around other dogs, but with people he’s gentle, submissive, and very loving. He’s an active guy who loves to run, play fetch, and stretch his legs, but he also thrives on mental stimulation. He loves puzzle toys and learning new things! He has great recall and has done beautifully with off-leash time in a safe environment. Zion isn’t kennel trained, but he’s trustworthy at home (he currently hangs out in the laundry room when left alone and does just fine). He’s also a pro with the doggie door. He’ll be turning 3 on April 7 and is looking for an experienced, patient owner who understands sensitive dogs and will help him continue to build confidence. In return, you’ll get a loyal, affectionate companion who just wants to be your shadow.
