DOB 04/15/2024 Male Catahoula Leopard Dog / German Shepherd Mix Groot found himself at the shelter when his prior owner moved out and left him with family members. Those family members were unable to keep him and so they surrendered him here. While staff has contacted the owner to advise Groot is here, the owner has not come for him. So, Groot is now looking for a new home. He sits like a good boy for treats and walks nicely on a leash. Groot lived in an apartment previously but has escaped on more than one occasion, so a secure home is a must. While it is unknown if Groot has lived with other animals, he has chased dogs while on his escapee adventures. He can be nervous around unknown people but once he warms up is a very loving fellow.
