Say hi to Misty! This silver-grey sweetheart may be on the shy side, but once you earn her trust she will give you so much love. Misty has come a long way in foster care. From being a fearful TNR kitty who we weren't sure could be socialized, she has steadily built up her courage and trust in the past few months, and now she spends a good part of each day with her foster mom. Recently she made a big step forward when she met some new people, and instead of running away she stuck around to cautiously say hello, and then stuck around a bit longer to play and get a churu treat from her new friends! She will likely always be a little on the cautious/shy side, and she is still easily spooked by unexpected noises or movements, but if you're willing to be patient, respect her boundaries and earn her trust, she will show her purrsonality and be a wonderful addition to your family. Misty is a big fan of chin rubs and butt scritches and will enthusiastically shove her face into an offered hand. She enjoys interactive play with all sorts of wand toys, and she loves to hunt the laser pointer. She may never be a lap cat, but she does like to curl up next to foster mom for naps. She still struggles to be ok with being handled (no biting or scratching, just running away), and this will likely be something that her new family will have to continue working on with her over time. She has always gotten along well with her foster sister, Jelly, and would likely do well in a home with her, or to a home with another friendly kitty. She has never been introduced to a dog, but might be ok with one that is calm and respectful, and she could learn to trust older, respectful kids as well. Misty is estimated to be 10.5 months old.
