Meet Lola! Lola is a tiny 2–3 year old Chihuahua mix weighing just about 8 pounds, with a heart that’s far bigger than her size. She is incredibly sweet, gentle, and deeply loving—she wants affection so badly. Once she bonds with her person, she becomes your little shadow, happiest curled up in your lap or snuggled close beside you. There’s an old-soul softness in her eyes that shows just how much love she has been waiting to give. Lola didn’t come from a good situation, and because of that, the world can feel overwhelming to her. Loud noises, new environments, and unfamiliar people can be scary—but she is quietly brave and making progress every day. She is not nippy or reactive, just fearful, and she will need time, patience, and understanding to decompress and learn that she is finally safe. Lola is looking for a calm, quiet home where she can truly thrive. A female-led household (or one where a woman is her primary caregiver) is very important for her comfort, especially in the beginning. She would do best with another dog, as she gains confidence from her canine companions and absolutely loves them. A fenced yard is strongly preferred since she is not used to leash walking yet, and a home where someone is around often would help her continue to build trust. She would do best in a low-traffic home without young children. The good news is that Lola is pad trained and will also go potty outside. She is wonderful with dogs of all sizes and does well with cats. She is spayed, up to date on vaccines, and will come with a health certificate prior to adoption.
