This sweet girl lives for attention and will happily follow you from room to room, just to be near her people. Lotis is affectionate, cuddly, and full of playful energy. She loves toys, enjoys romping with other dogs, and is just as happy curling up in your arms for some quality snuggle time. She's wonderful with kids and greets everyone she meets like a new best friend. She gets along well with both small and large dogs and truly enjoys having canine companions to play and relax with. Cats are still an unknown, but her friendly nature suggests she'll continue to take new things in stride. Lotis is working hard on her house training and crate skills and is already making great progress. She's keeping her crate clean, sleeping through the night, and learning routines quickly. She knows “sit” and is currently working on “come” and “leave it.” She's eager to please and will thrive with continued guidance and consistency. Over the years, we have seen an increasing number of returns due to behavioral issues that could have been prevented with the right support. A significant percentage of these returns involve out-of-area clients or those who have not completed training with GDU. To address this, positive reinforcement training with Green Dogs Unleashed is required as a condition for all adoptions. Preference for this dog will be given to adopters who commit to signing up for and completing our six-week Canine 101 training class in person at our headquarters in Troy, VA.
