Pretzel is going to need a special family. He is taking being uprooted from his previous life, very hard. He will take treats out of your hand (that’s huge progress), but gets scared when you reach for him too quickly. He is very sweet and trying his best to be brave. He needs a patient, understanding home that will help him through his trauma. He does well with other dogs, but has not been tested with kids or cats. Because he is so timid, we strongly believe he will just ignore cats. Pretzel is about 15 pounds. His primary breed is dachshund, but he is definitely mixed with a little something else. He has so much potential. Remember, when you help an animal through trauma, you build an unbreakable bond and trust. It’s a very rewarding process to watch them bloom into a wonderful , confident companion!
