About Pepe
Pepe is a true companion dog and a classic case of the so-called 'velcro dog.' At three years old, this medium-sized yellow and white Pit Bull Terrier mix is deeply people-oriented, thriving when he can stick close to those he loves. His goofy, affectionate personality has won over foster families and shelter staff alike. Pepe does best when he’s with his person; he’s happiest lounging on the couch, ambling at your side on walks, or sunbathing in the yard. He's reliably house trained and has a strong record of living peaceably with dogs, cats, and folks of all ages. Pepe’s a social dog who doesn't like being left alone for long stretches—as soon as he has company, he settles and relaxes. He would fit best in a home where someone works from home or is home often, such as a retiree or remote worker, who wants a dog always nearby. Due to past skin issues, he’ll need sun protection for outdoor lounging, like pet-safe sunscreen and protective shirts (he’s a sensitive guy but easy to care for with a little routine). Pepe originally came in underweight and with skin problems but, with steady care, he’s come a long way. He’s resilient, sweet, and looking for someone who appreciates a dog that wants to be side-by-side every day. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started.
