About Roscoe

Roscoe, also known as Duck, is a five-year-old tan and white American Pit Bull Terrier/American Staffordshire mix with a big personality and even bigger ears. After a rocky start at the shelter where stress took its toll, Roscoe transformed in foster care—becoming the relaxed, affectionate, and playful companion you see now. He happily burrows into his crate, loves lounging on the couch, and enjoys playtime with his foster brother. Roscoe greets everyone with a signature wiggle and shows real enthusiasm when meeting people. He's housebroken, crate trained, and even learned to use a doggy door. On walks, he does well beside his foster brother, though he may still need careful introductions with new dogs due to past leash reactivity. Roscoe's excitement sometimes leads him to jump up, but he’s gentle and responsive to guidance. While he's only had limited, managed experience with children, he’s done well in those moments—so a home with respectful kids who can provide structure and snuggles could be a great fit. Roscoe is located in Ridgely, MD and is currently in foster care. Interested adopters are invited to schedule a meet and greet. Start your journey together! Apply now.
