He was originally adopted as a puppy but was returned due to a change in his previous family’s living situation—through no fault of his own. Now just over a year old and weighing around 30–35 pounds, Winston is full of life and loves to stay active. One of his favorite things in the world is water! He’s been groomed to keep his coat manageable so he can splash around in kiddie pools without getting matted. Sir Winston is affectionate and thrives on attention. He already knows how to sit and can walk on a leash, though he could benefit from a bit more training in that area. He enjoys playing with toys and has won over all the volunteers he meets with his friendly personality. He has done well around other dogs of similar or larger size. However, Winston is strong and still learning his manners, so he may accidentally knock over small children. Because of this, he would do best in a home with older kids or adults who can handle his energy. Sir Winston would make a wonderful companion for an active family or individual who enjoys playtime, outdoor activities, and lots of interaction.
