This could be the start of something paw-some. Kane and Audrey were part of a litter of seven 6-week-old puppies who arrived at a very full rural shelter under heartbreaking circumstances. Their mother, found nearby after being struck by a car, left them orphaned, fragile, and in desperate need of help. Sadly, only Kane and Audrey survived, but their resilience has been truly remarkable. Both siblings overcame a tough start, battling fleas, worms, and sarcoptic mange. Through it all, they proved themselves to be little survivors and are now eager to begin the next, happier chapter of their lives. DNA testing revealed these adorable puppies are mostly Australian shepherd and husky mixes. They are bright, playful, and affectionate, thriving in the company of toys, games, and each other. Audrey is the braver and more outgoing of the pair, with a special fondness for every boy dog she meets. She delights in companionship and play, ready to shower new friends with love. Kane, on the other hand, is a sensitive soul—snuggly and a bit timid but longing for closeness and reassurance from those around him. Each puppy is searching for a loving home (they will be adopted separately) and is currently fostered in the St. Louis area. Audrey's birthday falls under Sagittarius, so she will likely grow up to be adventurous, friendly, and full of optimism! Make their next chapter their best one yet.
