Kane
AvailableKane is a neutered male Australian Shepherd/Husky mix, about 5 months old, with a medium build. He’s a vaccinated baby just starting out and is currently fostered in Troy, IL. Despite a difficult beginning, Kane has bounced back and is seeking a stable, loving home.
About Kane
Kane survived against the odds. He and his sister Audrey entered the world in rough shape after their mother was tragically struck by a car, leaving them orphaned, emaciated, and barely holding on in a rural shelter. While most of their litter did not make it, Kane pulled through. After battling worms, fleas, and sarcoptic mange, he’s now healthy and ready for a new start. A DNA test revealed Kane is mostly Australian Shepherd and Husky. He’s playful and clever, but a little more timid than his braver sister. Kane prefers to hang close, finding comfort in your lap, while Audrey bounds up to new friends. Kane is happiest when playing or snuggling up in a safe spot; he especially enjoys the company of other friendly dogs. Each pup is looking for their own family—they won’t be adopted together. Kane is being fostered near Troy, IL and deserves a home where patience and gentle affection come naturally. Make room for this sweet survivor. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
