Hello everyone! My name is BuddyGirl! I am 5 years old and currently weigh 40 pounds. As you can see by some of my pictures I was starved almost to death in my last home and it was purposeful. I was in a home with 2 other dogs and my owner was arrested and had to spend 90 days in jail. We were locked in the home. The neighbors had all called animal control to come help us but animal control literally left us to die. Thankfully one of the neighbors broke into the home and dumped food for us all over the house but the boy dog we were housed with wasn’t very nice to the neighbor after a month of starving and being locked in the house so he never came back to feed us again. When unchained souls caught wind of what was going on, they stepped right in and saved us. My previous owner got out of jail and took the boy dog back home due to his nature but he signed us girls over to give us the chance at a better life. I still need to put probably 10-15 more pounds on but otherwise im finally vetted and I get better every day. I am a very very good girl. I am quiet in my crate, I’ve not had an accident yet, and I’m so very loving and sweet. The rescue doesn’t recommend I go into a home with small animals or small dogs because I’ve never been socialized with them but I am good with dogs my size or bigger. The best type of home for me would be in a fenced yard, either by myself or another boy doggy for me to be buddies with! I am excellent with younger kids as well! I just need this fresh start so bad, I pray every day someone will choose me. My foster family has a dog that isn’t good with other dogs so unfortunately myself and the other fosters have to be rotated and go out in groups. I just wish for once in my life that I had someone who truly loved me and cared for me.
