If you've always wanted a dog but wondered if you're ready — Lily is your answer. She's already done the hard work. She's trained, calm, gentle, quiet and well-behaved on hikes, at breweries, rock climbing or running errands. When Lily first arrived in Colorado from the southwest desert, she was wide-eyed with wonder — trees, wildlife, the lush greenery of the Front Range, all brand new. These days, she's settled right in, and her very favorite activity? Curling up on the couch next to her human. She's found her place in the world, and it's right beside you. A Little About Lily Lily is a calm, intelligent one-year-old with a beautiful black and white coat and the kind of deep, thoughtful eyes that make you feel like she really gets you. She carries the focused, purposeful nature of her shepherd heritage — she notices everything, misses nothing, and approaches the world with quiet confidence. She's affectionate in the best possible way: no bowling you over, no frantic jumping — just a perpetually wagging tail (we're talking vigorous) and the sweetest kisses. Lily's Highlights Crate trained — settles in easily, feels secure in her space, and sleeps through the night Fully potty trained — no accidents, no fuss Good with other dogs — peaceful and easygoing around other canines; she's more of a "live and let live" neighbor than a rough-and-tumble playmate. She was wonderfully patient around puppies at an adoption event and it appears she was a mom herself Walks beautifully on leash — no pulling, no lunging, no reactivity, just a pleasant stroll Loves the outdoors — Lily truly comes alive outside. She recently joined a Hiking for Hounds meet-up and crushed a 5-mile hike like a seasoned pro — charming every dog and human she met. Calm the entire time amid kids, runners, cyclists, and fellow hikers. And if there's a stream or pond along the route? She's already in it. . She's also been rock climbing and got a dozen comments about how she's the perfect "crag dog" Quiet — not a barker; your neighbors will adore her Trustworthy in the home — calm and non-destructive, she can be left to roam freely without a worry Well-suited for a Variety of Homes Don't have a fenced yard? No problem — Lily has been happily fostered in a townhome with no yard at all. She's not a high-energy dog who needs to run laps. She's content to lounge, observe, and be near her people. Give her a sunny window with a view and she is set. She's also not big into toys, so your living room stays tidy. For a first-time dog owner, it's hard to imagine a more manageable, rewarding companion. Her Perfect Home Dare we say Lily is the definition of perfect Colorado dog and adventure companion? She's the rare go-anywhere pup. She's ready to spend the rest of her life right by your side — tail going a mile a minute, keeping careful watch over whatever window she calls her own. Come meet Lily. We think you'll understand immediately.
