About Ducky The Lucky

Ducky The Lucky is a striking brindle Shepherd/Staffie/Husky mix, around 2 years old, who’s had a string of temporary homes—all with kind folks hoping the best for him. At his foster home in Boulder, CO, Ducky shares his days with two other dogs and a couple of adventurous kids (one is seven, the other a toddler), and he gets along with everyone in the pack. He’s energetic, social, and loves to dive into playtime, especially if toys or canine friends are involved. When things calm down, Ducky is quick to seek out a cozy nap with his people, always hunting for an open lap or a soft arm to lean on. He walks well on a leash and goes wild for a raw bone to gnaw. House trained and quick with commands like Sit, Stay, and Lay Down, he’s easy to live with. There’s no track record with cats, but when it comes to people and dogs, Ducky rarely meets a stranger. He’s always up for a good belly rub and some snuggles. Ducky’s foster wishes she could keep him herself—he’s just that sweet. They are ready to love you; are you ready to apply?
