Meet Lando, a 2-year old, 33# Border Collie mix with a bright mind, a soft heart, and a free‑spirited zest for life. He is an intelligent, loving companion who forms meaningful connections with his people. He thrives when included in the rhythm of an active, affectionate home. Lando’s days are filled with simple joys: jolly ball sessions, enthusiastic walks including time to sniff around, cozy snuggles, and quality time with his beloved Benebone. This handsome lad is loyal, devoted, and ready to go the distance with his family. Around the house, he’s affectionately known as Little Lando, a name that suits his sweet, eager-to-please nature. “500 Miles” by The Proclaimers is his perfect theme song! With medium energy, Lando is active and playful but settles beautifully after exercise. He a perfect fit for a family that enjoys activity, provides continued training, and offers him loving affection and reassurance. At his core, he is simply a very good boy looking to form a close bond. He’s friendly with all people and is learning to keep four on the floor for polite greetings. Families with older kids will be a great match. He enjoys other dogs and could happily live with or without a canine sibling. He’s also good with cats, including those with a bit of sass! Lando is reliably housebroken and crate‑trained, though he’d always prefer to be near his humans. On leash, he’s doing well and benefits from continued practice and loves to learn. A fenced yard is recommended as he learns that his people are his home base. His neuter appointment is scheduled for April 24. He is microchipped and otherwise up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccines. Upon adoption, all of our dogs go to their new homes with a collar and harness, leash, starter food, blanket, favorite toys & treats. They are current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention. As a foster-based rescue, we do not have a central facility to visit. Meet and greets with specific dogs are arranged once your adoption application (not an inquiry through Petfinder) has been received, processed, and approved. We are located in Minnesota and adopt to an area 400 miles from Minneapolis/St. Paul.
