Adoption fee: $650 Meet Curtsey — the tiniest little lady with the sweetest heart and a brave spirit that’s growing every day. At just 7–8 months old and a dainty 5 pounds, Curtsey is a pocket-sized Yorkie type mix who arrived from the shelter feeling unsure about the world. Those first few days, she stayed glued to her person, too nervous to explore or even bark. But with patience, routine, and the comfort of other small dogs around her, this little girl has begun to blossom. Now she confidently trots from room to room, plays with her doggy friends, and shows off her joyful zoomies during her daily bursts of energy. Watching her confidence grow has been nothing short of heartwarming. Curtsey starts her mornings around 8:30am with a potty break. She enjoys breakfast around 10am, especially when her person sits nearby and offers her a few pieces at a time. She gets a midday snack, dinner at 5:30pm, and spends her days rotating between the living room, kitchen, backyard, and bedroom. Like many young pups, she balances playful spurts of running and chasing with long, cozy naps. At night, she happily curls up in bed with her person and sleeps soundly until morning. Personality-wise, Curtsey is a loving little cuddle bug who adores affection. She will happily snuggle close, soak up pets, and shower you with kisses. She has a sensitive soul and can be startled by sudden movements or loud noises, but her bravery grows a little more each day. One of her sweetest quirks? If you cough or sneeze, she comes running to check on you like your tiny personal nurse. And she once spent an entire afternoon playing with her own reflection—clearly convinced she had discovered a new best friend. Curtsey is very playful and energetic once she feels comfortable. She loves to run around, be chased, and engage in silly games with her doggy companions. She currently lives with two small dogs and, after an initial adjustment period, now enjoys playing with them and taking cues from their calm presence. Because of how much they help her feel safe, Curtsey is best suited to a home with other small, confident dogs who can continue to show her the ropes and build her confidence. Curtsey is housetrained and learning leash skills. Like many young dogs, she can chew if bored and sometimes gets a little enthusiastic during play, so continued gentle guidance will help her channel that puppy energy appropriately. She is looking for a patient, understanding adopter who has experience with shy or sensitive dogs and is committed to helping her continue her journey toward confidence. In the right home—one with calm routines, kind leadership, and friendly canine companions—this tiny girl will truly shine. Her adopter should appreciate the special joy that comes from watching a timid dog grow into her best self. If you’re someone who understands that trust is built step by step, and you’re ready to celebrate the small victories along the way, Curtsey will reward you with endless affection, loyalty, and the sweetest little shadow by your side.
