Just like the game Domino, this handsome boy has a “chain reaction” kind of energy—once he gets going, he’s all in. Whether it’s excitement on a walk or curiosity about the world around him, Domino is a dog who makes an impression and keeps life interesting. Domino first came to the shelter in November 2025 for a bite quarantine after an incident where he ran up to another dog during a walk, leading to an altercation. During the attempt to separate the dogs, the owner of the other dog was accidentally bitten. After that, Domino spent time in foster care and was eventually adopted by his foster family. Sadly, after about 2.5 months, he was returned to the shelter. His adopters described him as a great dog at heart, but very much a big, strong “puppy” who still needed guidance. Domino has shown that he can be quite athletic and clever—he has been known to jump a 4-foot fence in pursuit of cats, so he will need a secure yard and close supervision. He can also be a bit too enthusiastic in his play and may accidentally knock people over when he gets excited. Domino is looking for an experienced, active home that can provide structure, consistency, and ongoing training. He will do best in a home that can manage his strength, energy, and curiosity while continuing to help him build good manners and focus.
