Leo is a striking black and white mix of Pit Bull Terrier and Australian Cattle Dog / Blue Heeler, known for his good nature and sharp intelligence. He’s a smart, athletic dog who thrives on daily walks and time spent with people. Leo has shown to be a wonderful houseguest in his foster homes—quiet, housetrained (he’ll even bring his leash when he needs out), and able to adapt quickly to new environments. He gets along well with children as young as four and with small dogs, showing a gentle, friendly side. Volunteers and staff describe Leo as affectionate, cuddly, and motivated by treats, toys, and praise. He does best with positive reinforcement and doesn’t respond well to physical corrections. In group play and sharing kennels with other dogs at the shelter, he has proven himself social and easygoing.
