Rocky was transferred to the NHSPCA from an overcrowded shelter in Texas. He is not thrilled with life at a busy animal shelter as he is a large yet sensitive fellow. Despite his nervousness, he has managed to win the hearts of multiple staff members and volunteers with his shy charm. Rocky hides in his cat tunnel most of the time, but he will come out when someone sits in his room & speaks gently to him, and he loves to get petting once he feels safe. During a Reading with the Animals event, Rocky emerged from his tunnel to cuddle close to the little girl who chose to read to him, bringing happy tears to the eyes of everyone who witnessed the two of them together. It is very clear that this boy would like a bond with a human or even a family and we would love someone with a quieter home or a young animal whisperer in the family to take a chance on Rocky.
