Ricky was transferred to the NHSPCA from an overcrowded shelter in Texas. As we're sure you can tell from his photo, Ricky is not thrilled to be here. He is a cautious & sensitive fellow, and the hustle & bustle of shelter life is not what he finds enjoyable. What Ricky DOES find enjoyable is kind people who talk to him in sweet voices & give him gentle petting. He clearly wants to make a connection with a person but finds this environment too intimidating. we suspect that once he feels safe & comfortable in a quieter home with his very own person to treasure him, he will be a little lover boy who enjoys spending time with his people. He might even be a lap cat! Ricky will likely never be the cat that runs to your door to greet visitors, but he IS ready to be someone's heart cat.
