Hi... I'm Clancy 🐾 I've been told I'm a pretty happy guy--and honestly, I think that's true. My tail just kind of does its own thing most of the time (lots of wagging), and I like to make people smile with my goofy grin. It's my specialty. More than anything, I love being close to my people. If you move to another room, I'll probably come too--just in case you need company. And at the end of the day? I'm all about snuggling up and being your couch buddy. That's my favorite place to be. I'm 2 years old and about 48 pounds, which I think is the perfect size. Big enough for adventures, small enough to curl up right next to you (or maybe slightly on top of you... I hope that's okay). I'm really gentle with kids, and I don't mind cats--they're fine by me! Other dogs though? Oh wow, I LOVE other dogs. I just assume every single one is my new best friend. If I could have a dog buddy or lots of playdates, I'd be so happy. I like to play, but I also know how to relax. I'm house-trained, pretty quiet, and I try really hard to be a good boy. Crates aren't my favorite thing in the world, but I'll deal with it if I have to. Honestly, I do just fine hanging out in the house--I know the rules and I stick to them. What I really want is a family to love. I've got a big heart, and I'm ready to give all of it to someone who will love me back and make me feel safe. If you're looking for a best friend... I'm right here. 💛 Clancy is Heartworm positive and is waiting for a negative test result which can take 2-9 months after treatment. His treatment has been completed and he will need a Heartworm test every 2 months to follow up on his treatment progress until he has a negative result. During these months, you will need to make sure his heart rate is not elevated due to high energy play or exercise. Clancy will also need continued use of monthly Heartworm prevention going forward. These medical needs will be the responsibility of the adopter. -------------------------------------------- All our Warrior Dogs will have all age appropriate medical care and vaccines, a microchip, and spayed/neutered if the dog is over 6 months of age at the time of adoption. Please note that the majority of our dogs in rescue are from shelters where they have been found as strays or abandoned. If they came to our rescue as an owner surrender, the breed description will be listed as provided by the previous owner.
