About Isla

Last week, Isla and her daughter ended up in the rescue's yard just before closing time. Staff spotted two scared, wary faces in the dark and took their time coaxing them to safety. It turns out Isla is already known here—she's the mom to Cosmo, Luna, Tyson, and Hunter who came in last year. Since arriving, Isla has surprised everyone with her transformation. Once frightened, she's turned into a truly affectionate and gentle soul. She loves attention, is crazy about ear scratches, and will gladly shower you with kisses. Treats win her over fast. Loud noises and sudden movements still make her a little jumpy, which isn’t a shock given the upheaval in her life lately. Isla is a two-and-a-half-year-old female Doberman mix with short fur and a striking bicolor coat. She’s not currently house trained but does well with other dogs. It’s easy to imagine her becoming a loyal companion and friend in a caring, patient home. She deserves the best after all she's been through. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started.
