About Ember

Meet Ember (aka “Emmy”) Professional cuddler. Occasional chaos gremlin. Future heart-stealer. Hi! It’s so nice to meet you! My name is Ember, but sometimes my foster parents call me, Emmy. ‍ I’m a couple-month-old Weimaraner mix currently being fostered by loving parents Alyssa & Erik. My favorite things are: * Cuddling * Food * Playing * More cuddling (As you can see, I have my priorities straight.) Here’s something special about me: I was born with two hernias. They don’t slow me down much right now, but when I’m a bit bigger, I’ll need surgery to fix them so I can grow up healthy, strong, and pain-free. My foster parents say I’m very smart and a quick learner. I pick up on the things they teach me and do my best to remember them. They’re also pretty impressed that I only wake up a couple of times during the night to go potty and then settle right back to sleep after a few cuddles. I even alert them when I’m hungry or need to potty by making little noises or simply sitting down for them to see me. For such a young puppy, they say I’m doing an amazing job learning and growing every day. I would love to be adopted into a home with other dogs if possible! But it’s not a deal breaker (I just enjoy playing!) Right now I have two foster siblings — one sister and one brother — and they’re both big dogs. I love playing with them and I’m learning how to be a good dog friend when they gently correct me. Luckily, I’m already a pretty good girl and don’t need much correction. My foster parents say I have a great balance between playing with toys and having fun with my foster siblings. You might be wondering how I got my name. My foster parents named me Ember because they wanted a name that fit a little black color girl pup like me but also captured my playful spark. An ember is a tiny piece of fire that glows bright even in the dark, and they say that’s exactly what I am — a little spark of warmth, light, and spunky energy. Even when everything else feels dark, an ember keeps glowing. My foster parents say that’s what I bring into their home: a small but powerful light that keeps shining when the other lights have gone out. They know that I will bring that same light to my forever family. All medical is been taken care of she is fixed and ready to be adopted Application online at our website Www.hearts4paws.org
