About Elvie
Click apply to start the adoption process. Elvie is a ten-year-old Chihuahua who has spent most of his life in a peaceful home with a senior lady, making him a sweet and sensitive companion. After coming into foster care with We Care for Animals, Elvie has shown that he prefers a quiet environment with no children and feels most comfortable with women. He's happiest as the only pet and, in multi-person households, will likely bond closely with the lady of the house. Elvie will need a gentle period of adjustment to settle into his new surroundings, and what he craves most is a loving, tranquil home where he can feel secure. This house-trained boy uses the doggy door with ease and enjoys leisurely walks as well as hanging out by your side. He is well-mannered in the car, riding comfortably in his dog bed. While toys aren’t currently his interest, Elvie does experience some separation anxiety—expect a bit of barking or whining when left alone. He weighs about 14 lbs, which is perfect for his frame. Elvie has been thoroughly checked by the vet, had recent lab work, a dental cleaning, is microchipped, and his vaccinations are all up to date. They are waiting with paws crossed! Apply now!

Questions about Elvie
