About Squirt
Squirt showed up in foster care last July 4th, along with her pit bull buddy. Sadly, that friend never made it back home—just left Squirt and her foster with an unexpected pair. About a year later, Squirt’s pittie companion passed away, but this small, golden-eyed Chiweenie never lost her spark. Around 4-5 years old, Squirt brings plenty of personality to the table for such a small dog. Her golden fur and striking eyes turn heads everywhere she goes. She’s playful, confident, and doesn’t mind mixing it up with much bigger dogs. How she feels about cats is still up in the air. Kids older than four make good playmates for her, but she’d also fall right into step as a companion for an adult looking for a dedicated little sidekick. Squirt is fully housebroken and walks on a leash once she’s had a minute to get her excitement under control. She’s getting the hang of crate training, even though it’s not her favorite place. She lights up around her people, enjoys outdoor play, and is always up for a nap in the sun. She’s ready for a home that will let her settle in and be loved for who she is.
