Meet this special pup, Genesis 🐾💛 Genesis came from a hoarding situation, so the world is still a big, sometimes overwhelming place for him. New sights, sounds, and people can make him nervous, and he’ll need a patient, understanding adopter who will let him move at his own pace as he learns to feel safe and secure. The good news? Genesis has been in a foster home where he’s already making progress! He’s been working on potty training and leash skills, and while he’s doing well, he’ll need continued guidance and consistency to keep building those habits. Because he’s still gaining confidence, Genesis should remain on a leash or in a secure area when outside until he is fully comfortable—he’s not always ready to come back when called just yet. Like any young dog, he’ll need help with the basics—house manners, training, and confidence building—but with time, patience, and gentle encouragement, Genesis will truly blossom. Dogs like him form incredibly deep, meaningful bonds with their people. We do same-day adoptions, do not hold dogs, and work on a first-come, first-served basis as long as it is an excellent fit for both parties. Dog adoption fees include spay/neuter, rabies vaccine (if age-appropriate), distemper/parvo combination vaccine, leptospirosis vaccine (if age-appropriate), bordetella vaccine, deworming, heartworm test (if age appropriate), heartworm preventative, flea preventative, a dental cleaning (if necessary), and a microchip. Future vaccines, tests, and treatments will be the responsibility of the adopter.
