He was rescued from an overcrowded kill shelter in Korea and has since shown himself to be a bright, people-loving dog who thrives with activity and companionship. 🌿 Personality • Friendly and outgoing — approaches new people confidently • Enjoys affection but not overly clingy • Playful, energetic, and interactive • May greet by jumping or “body bumping” when excited (brief, manageable) 🐶 Social Behavior • Very social with dogs — adjusts play style based on the other dog • Can be slightly dominant with familiar dogs • Best not paired with very strong or dominant personalities • Plays well with most dogs or coexists peacefully • With small dogs: interested and playful, but needs continued work on strength control 🚶 Exercise & Walks • Loves walks — this is essential for his well-being • Current routine: • Weekdays: 30–50 min morning + 1–2 hours evening • Weekends: multiple outings + dog park time • Strong outdoor engagement (sniffing, exploring, social interest) • Leash manners: excellent (9.5/10) • Needs a home committed to daily exercise 🏠 Home Behavior • Calm indoors when needs are met • Rests on sofa/bed with family • Outdoor potty preference (nearly 100%) • No destructive behavior when routine is consistent 🧠 Separation & Crate Training • Separation anxiety present when alone • When left alone and crated: may bark, howl, or attempt to escape • When people are home: enters crate willingly and rests calmly • Eats meals in crate and will go in on his own at feeding time 👉 Important: Robin needs a home where: • Someone is home often, OR • He can go to daycare, OR • He is not left alone for long hours He does best with structure and gradual independence training. 🍽 Diet & Health • Currently eating Hill’s Sensitive Stomach & Skin • No confirmed allergies • Eats well and enjoys all treats • Preventatives up to date (Heartgard 3/23, topical 3/25) 🩺 Ear Care Note • Floppy ears, prone to ear infections • Requires routine lifelong ear cleaning (common for this ear type) 🛁 Grooming & Handling • Tolerates grooming (bath, brushing) well • Nervous with nail trimming but does not show aggression • Responds to guidance even when unsure 🧸 Play Style • Loves playing with dogs and people • Enjoys plush toys and interactive play • Likes running and physical engagement 🚗 Car Rides • Excellent in the car • Jumps in on his own and settles well 🛟 What He Needs • Active home that enjoys daily walks and outdoor time • Structured routine and continued training • Limited alone time (key requirement) • Adopters who can manage separation training • Either only dog or compatible dog (not overly dominant) 💬 The Reality Robin is not a low-maintenance dog. He is social, active, and people-oriented, and he struggles when left alone for long periods. His needs are very manageable with the right setup, but they must be taken seriously. 💛 Why Robin Robin is a joyful, social companion who brings energy, affection, and engagement into daily life. With the right structure and presence, he settles beautifully and becomes a fun, well-balanced partner.
