Naming your dog after a social media platform is like calling a homer. It’s a lot of pressure. Tik Tok had to be outgoing and she fully understood the assignment! She is meant to have her own account everywhere. Tik Tok is a performer. She is athletic but also very comical. The way she poses and sprawls out is Oscar worthy. Tik Tok is a star and deserves someone that knows her worth. Chicago Animal Care and Control is located at 2741 S. Western Ave., Chicago, IL, and is open from 12pm to 7pm daily. Walk-in visitors are welcome and helped on a first-come, first-served basis. If you are planning to adopt the day you visit, please plan to arrive before 5:30pm. Visitors arriving after 5:30pm will still be able to view animals in Pavilions A-B-C until 7pm. All dogs will be spayed/neutered and vaccinated before adoption. All household members should be present to meet dogs (especially those under 18 and any decision-makers). We recommend and can arrange dog-to-dog meet and greets for your current dog(s) to meet a potential dog sibling at the shelter. You will need to show proof of up-to-date rabies vaccination for your dog(s). Slow, cautious, and appropriate introductions are recommended after you allow time for decompression for the shelter dog.
