About Shasta
Meet Shasta, a lively Alaskan Malamute mix with an appetite for adventure and a passion for the outdoors. She thrives on long hikes, brisk walks, and any opportunity to explore alongside her people. If you’re drawn to fresh air and want a companion who can match your energy, Shasta’s up for the challenge. Shasta has a terrific track record with other dogs and, thanks to her exposure to all kinds of animals, gets along with cats, chickens, ducks, pigs, and even a goose. Rabbits, though, are a different story—so she needs a home without them. She’s crate trained, walks well on leash, and shows off a smart set of commands, including Sit, Wait, Load up, Leave it, Cross, Paw, High Five, and Get it. Her recall still needs practice, so for now, she does best kept on leash when outside. An ideal fit for a mature or older-kid household, Shasta’s spirited energy isn’t suited for little ones. She’s looking for active, outdoorsy people who want to share a life filled with movement, loyalty, and affection. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started.
