About Pistol
Meet Pistol, a striking Alaskan Malamute pup with the classic mask, oversized paws, and plenty of personality. Despite being part of a mixed litter, he wears his Malamute heritage well. Pistol is alert, deeply intelligent, and quick to pick up new things—eager to learn but also independent in spirit. He’s playful and energetic, often running full steam, but he returns faithfully to check in with his foster mom and observe what’s happening around him. Trust comes on his timeline; once earned, he’s a real sweetheart, though he tends to draw reassurance from his littermate, Tilly. Pistol is making good progress on leash manners and knows basic cues like “sit,” especially when treats are involved. He’s crate trained, learning car rides, and well on his way with housetraining, though the occasional puppy accident still happens. All Pistol and his siblings needed was a bit of rescue luck, which came when they landed in foster care in Eastern Washington. Someone docked their tails before rescue, but Pistol is otherwise healthy and ready for a fresh start. He is neutered and will have his vaccinations, making him ready to find a home that can match his energy and give him steady guidance. He gets along easily with other dogs and is friendly around children. Click apply to start the adoption process.
