About Duke
Duke thrives on joy and enthusiasm—he’s that big, grinning dog who perks up the second you grab his leash. He loves his walks, especially when it’s cool outside, and you’ll catch him doing goofy little hops as you head out for a stroll. Duke is still figuring out how to resist chasing squirrels, so he’ll benefit from a confident handler who can guide him through moments of excitement. When it comes to other dogs, he’s friendly and respectful, although he tends to prefer the company of females. Mostly, Duke just wants to get along and join in the fun. Toys are his favorite thing, and outdoor adventures make him come alive—he’d be a great choice for someone who enjoys hiking or exploring. He likes to walk just ahead, keeping a curious eye on what’s around and always checking back to make sure you’re still with him. Car rides? He’s all in. Duke is deeply attached to his people, so he’ll need a secure environment if he’s outside, or better yet, a home where he can keep close. Inside he’s well-mannered and settles into his crate at night without complaint. Duke is ready to bring his big heart and even bigger personality into the life of someone who cherishes an affectionate, loyal companion. Start your journey together! Apply now.
